俗話說,自信是成功的第一步。自信心對于小學(xué)生的英語學(xué)習(xí)尤為重要。簡單地說,起始階段,如果學(xué)生喜歡英語老師,喜歡回家和爸爸媽媽交流學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容或者描述學(xué)習(xí)過程,那么,這個孩子應(yīng)該是對英語有興趣了,自信心也會悄然濃厚起來,這是肯定的。如果孩子沒有這些表現(xiàn),那么我們做家長或者老師的,可以主動關(guān)心一下他們。低年級的英語教學(xué)主要是口語,猶如孩子學(xué)母語一樣,側(cè)重于聽說。平時的跟讀、回答問題、唱歌、游戲、對話、表演都要用到“說”。假如學(xué)生一開始便沒了自信心,怕出錯誤,不敢開口說,那么他的英語就無從得到練習(xí),也便不會有進(jìn)步,而且會越學(xué)越?jīng)]勁。所以樹立良好的自信,說英語,用英語,不怕犯錯誤,是學(xué)好英語的第一步。這需要老師、家長的不斷鼓勵和支持。

二、養(yǎng)成良好的英語課堂習(xí)慣

英語課堂是學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語的主要陣地。學(xué)生在課堂上參與得越多,那么他也就學(xué)得越多。這種參與是指全身心的參與和投入。良好的課堂習(xí)慣是保持較高參與度的前提。良好的課堂習(xí)慣包括:集中注意力聽講,積極參與各種課堂活動(游戲、對話、唱歌、表演等),大膽開口說英語,在朗讀課文時,必須養(yǎng)成孩子指讀的習(xí)慣,讓孩子們用小手邊指邊讀,做到“耳到、口到、手到、心到”,這是非常重要的??梢赃@樣要求孩子:眼睛看老師,耳朵豎起來,小嘴動起來,小手點(diǎn)起來。一、二年級學(xué)生特別需要這方面的習(xí)慣訓(xùn)練。

三、養(yǎng)成復(fù)習(xí)的好習(xí)慣

當(dāng)天的新授知識,如果在第二天得到及時反饋,那么這樣的記憶效果往往是非常有效的。早上到班級把新單詞新句型及時讀幾遍,課堂上的反應(yīng)效果就完全不一樣。根據(jù)認(rèn)知心理學(xué)的研究,對于學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容,應(yīng)該在尚未出現(xiàn)大量遺忘之前及時安排復(fù)習(xí),以收事半功倍之效。匈牙利著名女翻譯家卡扎·羅姆索通曉十多種語言,她的學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)驗第一條是:學(xué)習(xí)不中斷,哪怕每天擠出十分鐘也好,早晨是最好時機(jī)。堅持每天讀英語對小學(xué)生有很大幫助,以前的小孩子學(xué)詩有一個經(jīng)驗,“熟讀唐詩三百首,不會作詩也會吟”。這經(jīng)驗也適合于學(xué)英語。小學(xué)生的英語朗讀久了,熟能生巧,在一定情況下便能脫口而出。因此,養(yǎng)成復(fù)習(xí)好習(xí)慣在學(xué)習(xí)中的作用是相當(dāng)大的。

四、記憶策略

語言學(xué)習(xí)者要記憶大量的詞匯,背誦英語單詞、短語是每一個英語學(xué)習(xí)者面臨的艱巨任務(wù),也是令每一個英語學(xué)習(xí)者感到棘手的問題。成人如此,小學(xué)生也不例外。因此,在英語學(xué)習(xí)的啟蒙階段,讓小學(xué)生了解單詞記憶的一些策略是十分必要的。

五、讀音記憶法:根據(jù)單詞的讀音記憶單詞。它是記憶策略的首選,也是學(xué)好英語的重要途徑。在教學(xué)中,我們經(jīng)常會發(fā)現(xiàn)一些學(xué)生能夠閱讀,也會用英語寫作,卻不會用英語與人交流,甚至在課堂上不敢張開嘴巴說,即出現(xiàn)所謂的“啞巴英語”現(xiàn)象。根據(jù)讀音記憶單詞,既可以避免“啞巴英語”現(xiàn)象,又能培養(yǎng)學(xué)生良好的英語學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣,提高學(xué)習(xí)效率。

六、聯(lián)想記憶法:設(shè)法把單詞的音或形或義聯(lián)系起來。人的記憶能力,主要來自聯(lián)想。記憶力強(qiáng)的人,都具有較強(qiáng)的聯(lián)想能力。記憶以聯(lián)想為基礎(chǔ),聯(lián)想的建立為記憶提供更多的線索,線索越多,記住一個單詞就越容易,提取這個單詞也就越順利。

【關(guān)鍵詞】初二 英語課堂 激趣 導(dǎo)學(xué)

法國教育學(xué)家第斯多惠說:“教學(xué)藝術(shù)不在于傳授本領(lǐng),而是在于激勵、喚醒、鼓舞。”因此,教師需要在英語課堂教學(xué)中堅持“激趣導(dǎo)學(xué)”的教學(xué)理念,使課堂“活”起來。我校是新課程改革的實踐基地,農(nóng)民工子女較多,為了保證提高農(nóng)民工子女的學(xué)習(xí)成績,校長帶領(lǐng)全校師生,進(jìn)行了深入的教學(xué)改革,為每個孩子建立了成長檔案。針對農(nóng)民工子女英語基礎(chǔ)差這一特點(diǎn),作為初二英語老師,我對初二英語課堂教學(xué)提出幾點(diǎn)意見。

一、激趣

教育心理學(xué)研究表明:初中生的學(xué)習(xí)動機(jī)傾向非顯性狀態(tài),繼而其學(xué)習(xí)興趣呈現(xiàn)波動。教師采取活動教學(xué)方式,寓教于樂,激發(fā)學(xué)生對英語的興趣,而非視英語課為畏途,激趣是為了樂學(xué)。

(一)合作競答

競答比賽是極好的課堂活動,尤其在檢測學(xué)生舊知識方面,對于平日活潑好動的農(nóng)民工子女,以游戲活動的方式完成讓學(xué)生沒有考試的感覺,復(fù)習(xí)不再是一件無聊的事,還可以培養(yǎng)學(xué)生團(tuán)隊合作精神。教師在實施此活動時可以把學(xué)生編成小組,促進(jìn)組間互動和組內(nèi)合作,使復(fù)習(xí)環(huán)節(jié)更加生動有趣,吸引學(xué)生參與。如仁愛版八年級上Unit1 Topic1 Section C,可運(yùn)用小組造句競賽,復(fù)習(xí)be going to結(jié)構(gòu)。

(二)情境激勵

英語是一門工具學(xué)科,操作性十分強(qiáng),溝通能力是體現(xiàn)其運(yùn)用的主要表現(xiàn),因此必須為學(xué)生提供情景練習(xí)講英語。在教學(xué)中,教師不可能把真實場景搬進(jìn)課堂,但可以模擬情境,建立貼近現(xiàn)實生活的語言環(huán)境,有利于學(xué)生把握對話的內(nèi)容。

1.利用多媒體,喚醒學(xué)生視聽意識。英語課堂中模擬建立的情境,往往受到時間和空間的限制,無法真實還原情境。在這種情況下,教師可以利用音像、幻燈片等多媒體,形象地再現(xiàn)情境,豐富了學(xué)生想象。例如八年級下冊Unit 7 Topic 3 Section A,在繼續(xù)討論美食節(jié)的基礎(chǔ)上要求學(xué)生掌握就餐用語。因此在課程設(shè)計上力求靈活處理教材內(nèi)容,同時加大對學(xué)生聽力訓(xùn)練的力度。除了課文Dialogue的錄音,教師還需要還原美食節(jié)的場景,于是課前可把美食節(jié)視頻錄音截取下來,在課堂上播放給學(xué)生聽,場景的噪音讓學(xué)生仿佛身臨其境,有利于隨后課文對話內(nèi)容的學(xué)習(xí)。

2.設(shè)計各種活動,形成輕松有益的學(xué)習(xí)氛圍。作為教師,我嘗試設(shè)計各種課內(nèi)外活動,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生在不同情境下作為特定角色的溝通能力,發(fā)掘值得在課堂上討論的熱門話題,使學(xué)生能與其他人熟練地用英語溝通。例如教學(xué)生唱英文歌,許多初中英語學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容可以用歌詞來表達(dá),而融入音樂,則能加深學(xué)生理解,建立語言環(huán)境,使學(xué)生自然投入到情境學(xué)習(xí)中?;蛘哂龅轿鞣焦?jié)日時,我們可以舉辦相應(yīng)慶?;顒?,讓學(xué)生感受到西方文化的熏陶。比如,圣誕節(jié)裝飾圣誕樹、唱圣誕歌;復(fù)活節(jié)做彩蛋等。另一方面,參與互動如英語角等課外教學(xué),參觀外國的繪畫展,參加英語課本劇比賽等,激勵學(xué)生運(yùn)用英語實踐能力。

二、導(dǎo)學(xué)(探究性合作學(xué)習(xí))

如果說,曉之以理,使學(xué)生愿學(xué),從而認(rèn)識到學(xué)習(xí)是一種“應(yīng)然”;動之以情,使學(xué)生愛學(xué),從而感悟到學(xué)習(xí)是一種“誠然”;授之以漁,使學(xué)生會學(xué),從而實踐到學(xué)習(xí)是一種“必然”;那么,激之以趣,則使學(xué)生樂學(xué),從而體驗到學(xué)習(xí)是一種“果然”,而“激趣”與“導(dǎo)學(xué)”又是密切相關(guān)的。開學(xué)初,我校的教師們引導(dǎo)學(xué)生進(jìn)行探究性合作學(xué)習(xí),以情境促自主,以興趣促自主。如八年級下冊Unit 6 Topic 3 Section B:(綜合探究重點(diǎn)話題:交通)

教師將學(xué)生分成小組,每組4人,各小組推選一名組長,組長負(fù)責(zé)監(jiān)督各組員完成調(diào)查表,并核對大家在平常的生活中是否遵守交通規(guī)則。

英語作為世界上使用國家最多的語言, 蘊(yùn)涵著深厚的文化底蘊(yùn),同時也儲藏著豐富的情感內(nèi)涵。利用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)下載西方國家日常生活場景片段,自然風(fēng)光、地域風(fēng)貌和歷史變遷的圖片解說,以及學(xué)生喜愛的英文歌曲和文學(xué)作品等,都在不同方面、不同程度上使學(xué)生了解了世界各地的風(fēng)俗習(xí)慣、風(fēng)土人情和歷史文化,既開闊了眼界,又對學(xué)生的思想、行為、態(tài)度,乃至世界觀和人生觀的塑造起著潛移默化的作用。
